Why we exist
There has been significant investment in expanding the number of places available to all who seek education at our publicly funded universities. On our various campuses are students from all over the world studying various courses in Medicine, Law, Business, Administration/Management, Mining, Mechanical, Electronic, Computer/ICT engineering, Pharmacy, Education, Sciences, Anthropology, Performing Arts, African studies to name but a few. These unique courses have special appeal to international students from USA, Europe, Asia, Africa and Australia. Today our campuses are a melting pot of students from all races. The unique locations of our universities in Ghana gives the international student an insight into the rich culture of the country.

Universities of Ghana Overseas Office (UGOO) is an organisation based outside the frontiers of Ghana that continues to be the main organisation that transacts various businesses overseas for and on behalf of public Universities in Ghana.
The University of Ghana's Overseas Office, located in London, UK, was established in 1948 to provide administrative support to the university institutions in Ghana. This includes services like staff recruitment, procurement of equipment and educational materials, travel arrangements, and facilitating study abroad and institutional linkages.
